SIGN UP FOR THE APRIL 28-May 2 EVENT NOW! APRIL 21-25 EVENT IS SOLD OUT!
WHAT IS A NUDE SIREN EVENT?
Kristy and Astrid organize an opportunity for photographers to join them in Mexico to shoot underwater in the cenotes. For a long weekend, the group will go together to multiple cenotes to enjoy and capture a variety of beautiful natural environments with two experienced underwater models. There will be a lot of nude art created with Kristy and Astrid, but also they’ll provide a few props and wardrobe pieces (like mermaid tails!) to feature at some of the locations. Most of this workshop will take place underwater, with an occasional chance to shoot at the beach or other local areas.
WHAT ARE THE CENOTES?
Cenotes are large sinkholes and caves with fresh or brackish water along the Yucatan Pennisula formed by the erosion of the limestone over centuries. The cenotes have a wide variety of looks. The cenotes offer many landscapes and settings from lilypads and mangroves to caves and stalagmites!
Each event is only open to 4 photographers. This way the event can be flexible to what each photographer wants to capture and ensures plenty of time to shoot! Kristy and Astrid model individually and together through out the workshop. Shooting time between photographers is determined at the workshop based on how the photographers prefer to shoot. Photographers arrive on April 21 or 28 in Cancun, and fly back out April 25 or May 2. Photographers are welcome to fly in earlier or out later, but those dates and times are not covered by the event. Kristy and Astrid can only commit to pick up and drop off at the airport and Airbnb. April 22-24 and April 26- May 1 the groups will visit 1-2 different cenotes each day. There will be an opportunity to shoot at the beach for sunrise one of the mornings during the weekend, but mainly this event focuses on shooting underwater at the cenotes. Cenotes are not pre-determined because water, lighting, and crowd conditions vary on the day and season, but we guarantee a lot of awesome locations! These workshops are laid back so people can warm up and rest from the cenotes. The cenotes are usually around 70 degrees F! This can get chilly after a while. In the mornings, breakfast is homemade and provided by Kristy and Astrid at the Airbnb before heading out. Usually the group gets lunch near the cenotes during the break or between cenote locations. After getting back to the airbnb so everyone has an opportunity to decompress and clean up, the group goes out for a lovely dinner around the area. Meals and snacks are completely covered during the event; Most diets are accomodated.

This event is for any photographers interested in underwater. Some experience may be necessary as far as understanding your camera equipment and ability to swim underwater. We have one camera and underwater housing available to rent for the event, but suggest bringing what you’re familiar with. This is an easy shooting event. While more skill may be helpful for capturing better photos, it is not necessary. The cenotes have great clarity for shooting, and Kristy and Astrid have a lot of experience posing underwater. Being able to swim or tread water is a requirement, but you do not need to have any training. Floats are provided.
A suggested packing list and more detailed instruction packet is provided after sign up.
